Biography
Adan Paredes is a reknowned ceramicist and sculptor, specializing in large format installations. He has an extensive list of solo and group exhibitions throughout Mexico, as well as internationally in Canada, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Germany, Austria, Denmark, Ireland, France, Yugoslavia and China.
Adan received honorable mention in the first Bienale of Ceramics in Mexico and has been invited to participate in residencies at the Banff Centre, the School of Applied Arts in Vienna and the Gruber Jez Foundation in Yucatan. He has also received a bursary from CONACULTA FONCA (Mexico’s National Arts institution).
Adan’s work is included in several Museum and Gallery collections such as the Contemporary Art Museum of the Yucatan, The Gruber Jez Foundation, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Oaxaca, The Banff Centre for the Arts, the Museum of Latino-american Art in Los Angeles and others.
Adan has also taught workshops, spoken at conferences and sat on several ceramic or sculpture juries.
