Biography
Cristina Luna lives in San Augustin Etla in Oaxaca, Mexico. She studied music at the National Conservatory and did a Bachelor’s degree in Art in painting, sculpture and engraving from La Esmeralda art school in Mexico City.

Cristina Luna has had 16 individual shows the most recent of which was Primeros Indicios…ültimas Incidencias; in the Torre del Reloj Gallery in June 2008 in Mexico City. Other shows include De Encuentros y Paradigmas, shown in Bodega Quetzalli in November 2007;  Correspondencias in Casa Museo Diego Rivera in the city of Guanajuato, 2006; and Presencias, in the Mayra Nakatani Gallery in Mexico City in 2004. She has also been involved in several group exhibitions in Mexico, the United States and Puerto Rico.

In 2007, Cristina exhibited with the Collective of Women Artists Women called Guenda. The same year, Guenda was invited to participate, representing Mexico, at a cultural festival in the city of Guantanamo, in Cuba.. Cristina also belongs to the collective called MAMAZ (Artists Women and the Corn).
