The LLAMA Project’s Canada-Mexico exchange has resulted in a body of work called Voz/Voice: The arts of resistance and resilience.
This collection of works by the LLAMA artists is first being exhibited in Whitehorse, Yukon at the Yukon Arts Centre, November 5 – December 22, 2009. The exhibition will fill the entire gallery space at YAC (a video of opening night with images of the show and patron impressions can be found below).

SOUNDSCAPE (with English and Spanish)
Jessica Landry, in cooperation with MAP Communications, kindly created this audio file which brings the listener into the creative mind of the artists: what is their work about and where do they draw inspiration from. Using original recordings from both Canada and Mexico, this soundscape weaves together ambient sound, language and music, offering behind-the-scenes glimpses into the LLAMA Project exhibit. Enjoy!
